You will oversee four key teams within Data & Information Management, ensuring data is effectively governed, maintained, secured, and utilised to drive strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: People Leadership: Manage a department of approximately 60 staff and a £3m budget, fostering a high-performing team. Strategic Leadership: Drive the transformation of data capabilities, setting the vision, culture, and policies for enhanced data-driven decision-making. Data & Information Governance: Establish robust governance frameworks, aligning data management with national strategies. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating complex data issues into actionable insights. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to data protection legislation and manage risks, fulfilling the statutory role of Data Protection Officer (DPO). Driving Insights & Innovation: Transform raw data into meaningful intelligence to support policing strategies and crime prevention.
