About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the InFocus’ Supported Living team. Your role will primarily be to support our residents to access the community, work and volunteering roles, accessing all appointments and supporting them with their day to day management. Being an Support Worker means you would be an ambassador of InFocus, providing bespoke “Person-Led” daily living support.
We are looking for dedicated and caring individuals to join our friendly team. We provide exceptionally safe care whilst challenging our young people to follow their dreams, pursue their interests and develop skills. All the young people we support have a degree of visual impairment and complex needs, but our staff focus on supporting and empowering them to maintain as much independence as possible.
You will be joining a passionate and caring team who will support you throughout your time here.
This role is open to those with or without experience of working in a health and social care setting, who can demonstrate their potential to develop into specialised community based enabling support workers in the field of vulnerable young adults with a visual impairment and complex needs.
The successful candidate will have a passion for their own learning and development to confidently work within their team to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred health care.
Working pattern
The required shift pattern for this role is 11-3, 4 days a week, over a two-week rolling rota pattern, with potential of flexibility to these hours. This will include bank holidays, no weekends or evening work. Overtime often available.
