Admin and Operations Coordinator
* Duration: Temporary role 3-6 Months
* Hourly Pay: £14.29 per hour plus £1.72 per hour holiday pay (equivalent to annual salary £26,000 FTE)
* Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 3 to 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday ideally, including one Saturday, preferably though not mandatory)
* Location: A local Community Centre in Broxbourne (on-site role, not remote)
* Start Date: ASAP

By fostering local initiatives and creating accessible spaces, BBL supports individuals and families to thrive. The Wormley Community Centre is at the heart of these efforts, offering a vibrant and welcoming hub for activities, events, and community services.
BBL is seeking an Admin and Operations Coordinator to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the Community Centre operates smoothly, safely, and remains a welcoming space for all.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
* Coordinate the scheduling of community centre spaces and manage bookings.
* Handle day-to-day correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and inquiries.
* Ensure safeguarding and health and safety checks are conducted and documented.
Financial Administration
* Raise invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
* Support budget tracking, coding financial transactions, and handling petty cash.
* Align booking payments and deposit returns within the system.
Administrative Support
* Prepare reports and meeting minutes.
* Maintain and update schedules for centre activities, staff, and volunteers.
* Support event planning logistics to ensure successful execution.
Staff and Volunteer Coordination
* Assist in onboarding and training staff and volunteers.
* Monitor attendance and ensure seamless shift transitions.
* Oversee DBS checks to ensure all staff and volunteers meet safeguarding standards.
Additional Responsibilities
* Adhere to the charity's policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities.
* Undertake other administrative and operational tasks as necessary to support the centre.
What We're Looking For
BBL is looking for a motivated individual with strong administrative and organisational skills who is eager to contribute to a vibrant community space.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in administrative or operational roles, ideally in non-profit or community organisations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Experience with basic budgeting and financial management.
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive, creative, and enthusiastic approach to work.
Working Conditions
* Primarily office-based, with occasional evening or weekend work required for events.
* May involve light lifting or moving of supplies or equipment.
