Job Title: Facilities Site Supervisor (Hard Services)
Location: Oxford, England
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 (DOE)
Job Summary:
We are partnering with a prominent facilities management organisation seeking a skilled Facilities Site Supervisor (Hard Services). This pivotal role oversees site Hard FM matters, delivering expert low voltage (LV) electrical maintenance, reactive work, and project execution. The position also includes responsibility for compliance with HTM 06-01 and 06-02 standards, alongside other Authorised Person (AP) duties where required, such as lifts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver maintenance, project, reactive, and remedial tasks effectively within scope.
* Safely address reactive breakdowns, prioritising in alignment with service requirements.
* Develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW).
* Produce and evaluate technical procedures and maintenance reports.
* Train and guide maintenance and technical staff to enhance their development.
* Supervise teams to inspect, repair, and maintain various electrical systems, adhering to qualifications, training, and competence.
* Diagnose faults in electrical support systems and implement appropriate rectifications.
* Conduct planned maintenance and repairs by interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
* Execute and plan specialized LV AP tasks and appoint Competent Persons (CPs) as needed.
* Lead by example as a senior technician, promoting health and safety.
* Contribute to developing maintenance routines, technical records, and cross-skilling within the team.
* Participate in emergency call-out arrangements and provide cover during absences.
* Suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency and comply with legislative standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Fully qualified electrician with 18th Edition (IET Wiring Regulations).
* 2391 accredited.
* LV AP trained or willingness to undertake training.
* Proven experience contributing to and fostering team development.
Desirable:
* IOSH Managing Safely certification.
* SMSTS qualification.
* Membership in industry bodies (e.g., IHEEM, IWFM).
* Knowledge of PFI/PPP contracts and jeopardy management.
* Background in building and facilities maintenance within a healthcare setting.
