Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team at Novus Executives.
This is a full-time position based in Wokingham and involving extended periods working offshore/overseas.
Role Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems, including troubleshooting issues during offshore installation and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working onsite to install, commission, and maintain systems, including trips to offshore environments;
* Troubleshooting issues during offshore installation and maintenance;
* Collaborating with the Service Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget;
* Assembling and testing systems, including working with engineering disciplines and operational/workshop technicians;
* Documenting control, complying with internal processes and ISO9001 documentation control;
* Communicating with internal offshore/operations teams and other 3rd party stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors;
* Procuring system components with the procurement manager;
* Producing project documentation and reports as required;
* Controlling rental equipment outgoing shipments, returns, servicing, and re-stocking;
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* An HNC/HND in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a Degree;
* Field experience;
* Experience with terminating cables, power, and networking;
* Fault-finding skills using logical approaches with multimeters, oscilloscopes, current meters, etc.;
* Troubleshooting and recommendation capabilities;
* IT literacy, including troubleshooting, IP addresses/DNS/NTP;
* PLC experience (desirable);
* NMEA/MODBUS experience (an advantage);
* Mechanical exposure (desirable);
* Auditability of installation reports and daily progress reports;
* Offshore training and certification (preferred but not necessary);
* Flexibility to work extended periods away from home, including weekends and holidays;
* A European visa/passport (an advantage).
