Based at our Luton manufacturing plant you'll do just that. Established in 1993, GKN Aerospace in Luton is a world leader in commercial and military ice protection systems and transparencies. Offering a full range of capabilities; design, analysis, testing, certification and manufacture of electro-thermal ice protection, military fast jet canopies and flight deck windows to over 20 programmes including: Boeing 787, Dreamliner, Airbus A320, AgustaWestland, AW101, Eurofighter Typhoon and Lockheed, Martin F-22 Raptor. Our customers include Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopters, Textron, BAE Systems, Pratt & Whitney, Leonardo. Our Luton site is home to 370 employees and onsite facilities including onsite parking, food hub and vending machines. Based at Luton Manufacturing facility reporting to the Commercial Manager the Commercial Administrator will support the day to day Commercial operation of the business and be responsible for the administration and activities associated with customer enquiries, quotations, order receipt and management though to invoice clearance and overdue debt reduction. Working within a combined team including Programmes, Engineering and Operations on UK Defence contracts, with the support of the Commercial Officer and Commercial Manager. Job Responsibilities - Responsible for providing Commercial support and Contract Order administration within the Integrated Project Team (IPT) on the Company core business of fighter jet transparencies and canopies. - Processing company order book to review customer purchase orders for acceptance (pricing, delivery dates, terms and conditions) - with the support of Commercial Officer and Commercial Manager. - Prepares internal SAP Sales Orders and checks resource availability and monitors on time delivery. - Raises invoices chase Customer if overdue debt, with the support of Finance. - Executes the agreed actions for improvements/ recoveries on claims and conduct actions to align customer scorecards, in close collaboration with the responsible disciplines. - Co-ordination of Commercial communication to and from internal and external customers. - Support the interface with the business to highlight contractual issues or obligations to its customers. - To support minor change negotiations with pricing or quote - Establishing and controlling robust document management in the IPT and towards/ from the customer. - Support stock take reconciliation for RRSP programme. How You'll Contribute To help us make a difference, you'll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes: Essential: - Experience gained from an customer administrative role - Experience of managing customer orders through to fulfilment - Ability to work cross-functionally - Familiar and capable with MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel Desirable: - Experience gained from the Manufacturing or Aerospace industry - Experience using an ERP system such as SAP - Experience of reviewing customer purchase orders for accuracy - A BSc Degree or equivalent such as Business, Finance or Procurement We are looking for people who want to make a difference, talented members with the skills and passions to become the best of the future in what they do.
