With large-scale proprietary technology, they recover high-purity materials such as copper, aluminium, black mass, and graphite, reducing reliance on virgin resources. My client is on the lookout for two motivated and experienced Production Supervisors to join their team in a fast-paced, growing environment. This role is ideal for someone with a background in plant operations, specifically within the recycling sector, and who is passionate about supervising production lines and inspiring their team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the performance of three key processing lines, overseeing plant operations and supporting the overall production process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and monitor three processing lines: Wet Line, Drying Line and Separation Line
* Ensure optimal performance across all lines, checking production quality, efficiency, and compliance
* Perform regular stock checks and manage plant material flows (including weighing containers and unloading wagons)
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records via check sheets
* Oversee a production shift, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues promptly
* Train and develop team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable in plant processes and health and safety procedures
* Inspire and motivate team members to achieve production goals and maintain high standards
* Communicate effectively with team members and other departments, both verbally and in writing
* Manage a team of operators, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
* Monitor the performance of the processing lines, ensuring they meet production targets and KPIs
* Support the building and integration of two new production lines
* Maintain and enhance the efficiency and safety of the site operations
* Contribute to ongoing improvements and the growth of the company’s production capacity
* Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to during all shifts
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Strong background in plant operations, preferably in the recycling, asphalt, quarrying or construction sectors
* Multiskilled with the ability to interchange between different tasks and processes
* Proven experience in monitoring and managing production lines, ideally in a plant-based environment
* Ability to carry out stock checks and manage materials, including using weighbridges and unloading wagons
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong team player with the ability to lead and inspire others
* Attention to detail with a focus on quality control and performance monitoring
* Ability to work effectively under pressure during a 40 hour week
* Previous experience in the recycling industry is a plus (training will be provided)
* Enthusiastic and adaptable, with a willingness to grow with the company as it expands
