About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-organised and caring individual to join the Customer and Property Services team within the Repairs and Maintenance function.
As a Property Maintenance Assistant, you will deliver a consistently high level of front-line services in all aspects of our day-to-day property services operations in line with our organisational values, goals and performance standards. As a team we work together in our aim to always achieve or exceed objectives and targets related to legislation, policy, procedures, and best practice guidance, within budget parameters.

Main Responsibilities
* Provide, triage, and administer front-line property services, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery in line with regulatory targets.
* Receive, create, schedule, and manage maintenance and inspection requests, including responsive repairs, void management, external maintenance contracts and other property functions applicable to all homes, buildings, and property holdings.
* Contribute to and assist colleagues with record maintenance and collation of performance data, statistics, and profiling reports as required.
* Investigate and respond to complaints in line with the Scottish Public Sector Ombudsman (SPSO) complaints process and internal guidance.
* Support the organisation's customer engagement objectives.

About You
* Educated to Higher level, you will have education or training in business, building, property, or financial administration.
* You have excellent organisational, record keeping and report production skills and an ability to plan, prioritise and manage workload effectively to meet needs of the service, meeting deadlines and exceeding targets.
* You are able to work unsupervised and make decisions independently, taking responsibility for the decision made, as appropriate to the level of the post.
* You will have experience of working with property owners and contractors and knowledge of good working practices when dealing with them.
* You have knowledge of property and repair standards and experience of complaints and resolutions.
* You have a professional, calm, and confident manner and are able to work in partnership with peers and colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team.
* You have good ICT skills (Microsoft 365, e.g., Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and online and cloud-based applications).
