A trusted partner to organisations operating in the private and public sectors is seeking a Management Accountant. You will be covering the organisation's group of 8 companies, managing the accounts.
Founded in 2017, they have experienced exponential growth and now provide hard facilities management, repair, planned maintenance, mechanical and electrical, passive fire protection, and statutory compliance services via its businesses.
You will be based full-time out of their modern Head Office located in Tamworth, close to all local amenities, transport routes, and free parking.
The working hours of the Management Accountant will be:
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00. Full-time, office working. No hybrid.
The duties of the Management Accountant will include:
1. Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts in a timely manner
2. Reconciliation of control accounts / balance sheet accounts and addressing any issues
3. Assist with Profit and Loss analysis and any related queries
4. Assistance with reconciling intercompany balances and loan accounts
5. Preparation and filing of various ONS reports
6. Reviewing company credit card analysis and controls
7. Preparation of monthly sales data for key customers
8. Preparation of monthly rebate registers for the group including approving invoices for repayment to customers
9. Assisting with general queries and analysis work
10. Preparation of VAT returns and submission
11. Support external auditors
12. Additional support to accounts and credit control teams
13. Support to all departments as required
We are looking for a Management Accountant with:
1. Excellent attention to detail, able to concentrate and prioritize workload, and self-manage time to ensure all tasks are completed correctly and timely
2. Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels throughout the business and collaborate across all departments
3. Prior experience in preparing management accounts including servicing
4. AAT or equivalent desired
5. Knowledge of the Construction Industry Tax Scheme (CIS)
6. Open to practice or industry experience
