The Role:
As part of our close-knit Operations Team, you will help bring our specialist products to life. You will aid the organisation with its key objective to provide robust and high-quality products, whilst helping deliver its growing order book.
With the necessary internal training, you would be able to build all products in the Cygnus range and take ownership of certain product builds.
Key Responsibilities:
You will gain real-world experience in electro-mechanical assembly, working with cutting-edge tools and technologies.
* Build electro-mechanical assembly and sub-assembly in all product areas.
* Solder components/wires to circuit boards.
* Operate manual tools, power tools and simple machinery used in mechanical sub-assembly.
* Assemble pre-populated printed circuit boards into final product units.
* Read, interpret and follow work instructions, simple blueprints, and other written material.
* Recognize electrical components and basic functions.
* Use a variety of chemicals for bonding, encapsulation and overmoulding.
* Follow basic quality assurance procedures/requirements.
* Perform other duties as required in the role
Skills and experience required
This is a junior to mid-level role that would suit someone who is either at the beginning of their career or returning to the industry after a break.
* Competent with basic hand tools
* Basic soldering skills
* Use basic electronic assembly techniques
* Basic computer skills
* Must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
* Must be able to multitask and stop/start a variety of jobs as required
* Be responsible and conscientious
