An exciting new opportunityhas arisen at the Somerset Cricket Foundation. We are looking for aproactive inclusive and collaborative person to continue to raisethe profile of the Foundation.
The successfulcandidate will be responsible for managing our fundraisingportfolio and supporting the delivery of a fundraising strategy.This will be achieved by developing strong links with partnersidentifying additional revenues from donors and individuals pluscreating a calendar of fundraising/community events in line withagreed financial targets.
It is an exciting timeto join Somerset Cricket Foundation having gained charitable statusin 2021. The past two years has seen a growth in activity acrossour programmes with the strong expansion of our communityengagement work. The Foundation is striving to make cricket themost inclusive sport to people in Somerset and this role isfundamental to allow us to flourish into a charity that offers thevery best opportunities to all people.
Thesuccess and reputation of the Foundation continues to grow bothlocally and nationally. This has led to corporate partners of theSomerset County Cricket Club and other local organisations wantingto support Foundation initiatives. Our existing partners supportprojects such as Cricket in Schools Community Activation andDisability Cricket and support to our club network. We want tocontinue engaging with local organisations to create newopportunities for community and individual donor engagement to helpsupport us with our objectives of growing the game and making thegame of cricket accessible to people from all walks of life anddiverse backgrounds.

Main Purpose ofJob:
We are seeking anexperienced fundraiser with excellent relationship managementskills to help build resilient and profitable income streams forthe Somerset Cricket Foundation (SCF) and extend the reach of thecharitys profile. This will include working with existing and newcorporate relationships individuals and Trusts &Foundations.
You will develop and use stewardshiptools to guide donors and partnerships through their givingjourney; including cultivation plans proposals and reports. Youwill be involved in sourcing and presenting tailored informationmaking appropriate financial and nonfinancialrequests.
MainResponsibilities:
* Agreean annual highvalue fundraising strategy for SCF in collaborationwith the Somerset Cricket Foundation Fundraising Committee andManaging Director.
* Take overall responsibilityfor the development growth and implementation highvaluerelationships.
* Develop and create newfundraising opportunities that raise the profile of SCF and attractnew partners and donors.
* Nurture and maintainlonglasting positive relationships with corporate contacts andindividual supporters to build a loyal supporterbase.
* Collaborate proactively with the SCCCCommercial team and associated fundraising partners to broaden thereach and impact of the work of SCF and promote the widerclub.
* Promote the work of the SCF at networkingevents through associated media andliterature.
* Input into the creation of theannual SCF Impact Report ensuring it is shared with new andexisting supporters.
* Monitor and evaluate theannual impact that fundraising is bringing to the Foundationthrough effective reporting.
* Workcollaboratively with the SCF Programme leads to identifyopportunities in raising awareness and essential additionalrevenues.
Knowledge skills and experiencerequired:
Essential
* Experiencein a similar role with a proven track record of successfullymeeting fundraising targets.
* Ability to builda focused prospect pipeline.
* Excellentcommunication skills both written and spoken with the ability towrite and present compelling fundraising pitches andproposals.
* Strong strategic planning andorganisational skills.
* Accuracy and attentionto detail.
* Inclusive style ofworking.
* Strong communicator who works well ina team.
* Collaborative approach and the abilityto learn quickly and a can do attitude.
* StrongIT literacy including MS Office.
* Excellent timemanagement skills and the ability to use theirinitiative.
* Some flexibility around workinghours will be required including evenings andweekends.
Qualificationsand skills
Valid DBS Certificate
Full andvalid UK driving licence. Insurance must cover Businessuse.
