Job Purpose:
As a Duty Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Sport & Fitness Centres. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer care, managing facilities, and enhancing participation in sports and fitness activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Management: Act as a key holder, ensuring that all health and safety procedures are followed, and oversee sports and fitness facilities during your shifts.
Customer Service: Provide fast, courteous, and efficient responses to all customer inquiries, ensuring a welcoming environment for all users.
Activity Development: Assist in creating a diverse range of activities at the centre, including conducting gym inductions and coaching sessions if qualified.
Financial Operations: Operate a computerised booking system, process payments, and complete daily financial procedures.
Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness by following set cleaning procedures for sports and fitness areas, including changing rooms.
Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks such as stock control and equipment inventory, ensuring all checklists and booking forms are maintained accurately.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside employees, partner providers, and customers with respect and fairness, upholding the Council's commitment to diversity and equality.
Qualifications and Skills:
A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to sports and fitness facilities.
Experience in a supervisory or customer-facing role is advantageous.
Relevant qualifications in fitness or sports coaching are a plus.

Comply with relevant Codes of Practise, including policies related to data protection and health and safety.
