The role
As an Equipment Repair Manager, you’ll be responsible and accountable for the maintenance and repair element of both the Field Electrical Power Supplies (FEPS) and Tactical Power Support (TPS) support contracts.
Day-to-day, you’ll challenge the business approach whilst providing oversight and control for the Deployable Power to the Operational Infrastructure Programmes desired levels of service delivery, effectively satisfying all contractual deliverables.
* Responsible for the delivery of the Deployable Power maintenance and repair planning and activity in line with key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Ensuring proposed amendments to delivery plans are reviewed and agreed prior to acceptance whilst managing and prioritising resource allocation
* Implement performance improvements against targets and flow down to Supervisors
* Leading improvement or recovery plans for failing maintenance and repair plans
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Donnington.
Essential experience:
* Management of workshop or management of an engineering background
* Leadership and mentoring experience including staff development
* Developing continuous improvement plans while working in a flexible environment
* Ability to multitask and make rational decisions based on available information
* Experienced or competent user in systems used for fleet management (e.g., SAP, IFS, JAMES)
Qualifications:
* Educated to Level 3 in National Qualification Framework (NQF) as a minimum (Higher apprenticeship, ONC, Level 3 NVQ) or equivalent workplace experience
* Completed relevant managerial Health and Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, British Safety Council)
* Completed relevant management development courses
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
