The Urological Malignancies Virtual Institute within the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre, is seeking a programme manager. We are recruiting a Programme Manager (fixed term) to be appointed to start as soon as possible. This is a fixed term role until the end of March 2027. The Virtual Institute, led by Professor Grant Stewart and Dr Brent O'Carrigan and funded by Cancer Research UK, aims to provide a world-class research environment where researchers collaborate to understand how urological tumours arise, develop, spread and evade therapy. The successful candidate will join a small and dynamic team and will manage the programme of activities and report to the CRUK Cambridge Centre Scientific Operations Manager leads. The post offers an opportunity for the development of your programme and project management skills, working in close collaboration with a multi-disciplinary group of researchers, and a team of fellow Programme Managers within the CRUK Cambridge Centre. The Urological Malignancies Virtual Institute is going through a period of rapid growth, and the role holder will manage the translational science and support staff, budgets for grants and trials, communications, reporting, as well as support the Virtual Institute leads in setting strategy. Candidates are expected to have a degree, research experience and proven ability to run projects. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and translational or clinical trials would be an advantage.
