The IE will join our Systems Integration team within our Digital Consulting business. Our Systems Integration (SI) team operate across UK; therefore, the role can be based at any of the following UK offices; Aberdeen, Staines, Reading, Glasgow or Northampton on a hybrid basis. Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. We are seeking to hear from individuals who have engineering experience within Automation and Controls projects, who are driven by solving complex technical challenges for our clients. Further benefits include a generous contributory pension scheme, private medical cover, 4x base salary life insurance; all of these and more that can be adapted to suit your own lifestyle Commitment to continued professional development ; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Global connections ; join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Energy Transition Academy ; join a community of experts sharing your knowledge and gaining more exposure to a variety of existing and emerging energy systems – delivered by experts in their field Responsibilities The key objectives for this role are: Provide instrumentation and control discipline support to project design activities (Concept, FEED & Detailed Design) Prepare instrument index, material requisition and data sheet for field instrument Prepare systems I/O List, specification/ vendor scope of work, cause & effects diagram for DCS/ESD/ F&G system modification Perform technical bid evaluations of suppliers’ proposal Undertake vendor package management for instance approve vendor documents for incorporation into the design and co-ordination with other disciplines Witness FAT at vendor premises Review and comment PFD/ P&ID and alarm and trip schedule for any control / interlock / safety related representations Provide technical input to other disciplines, such as instrumentation requirement for package units, electrical consumption for electrical power supply design, heat dissipation for ACMV design, weight and dimension for civil / architecture design Participate in HAZOP, LOPA & SIL assessment meetings and address any required actions Liaise with Design office to prepare deliverables like cable block diagram, loop diagram, hook-up, cable specification etc Input to construction work-pack, answer site queries and support commissioning during site execution Direct and/or conduct site visits to inspect plant conditions or deliver engineering design Communicate with site operation/ client for information to support engineering work Attend project related meetings such as progress meeting and client facing meeting Deliver project within schedule and approved budgets Qualifications Skills And Qualifications What makes you remarkable? This could be Electrical & Electronics, Instrumentation & Process Automation, Control System Engineering Previous experience working in a project delivery environment in energy industry Knowledge of field Instrumentation including analytical and metering in hazardous area and f amiliar with intrinsic safety (IS), instruments / valve actuators sizing calculations Experience of working with Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD), Fire & Gas System and their implementation Knowledge with national and international design statutory, codes and standards for instrumentation and control Hands on experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) will be an added advantage Inquisitive, strong problem solving, time management and execution skills Self-motivated team player working on own initiative with minimum supervision Good verbal and written communication Desirable: Qualification of Functional Safety TUV certified Progressing or achieved engineering chartership preferred
