The Role: Field Service Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join our team. You’ll be working across a wide range of CNC machining centres, turning centres, laser cutters, and CNC sheet metal machines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service & Maintenance: Work on mechanical, electrical, and software aspects of CNC machinery
* Independent & Teamwork: Work independently and as part of a motivated team to support customers
* Customer Support: Provide high-level support in the supply and maintenance of machine tools and fabricating machinery
* Travel: Cover service needs across the UK, with occasional overseas factory training programs
* Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance
* Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with new technologies and machine advancements
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Experience (A Bonus!):
* Hands-on experience with Fibre Laser Metal Cutting, including optimising cutting parameters and using controllers like Cypcut and nesting software such as Cypnest or Lantek
* Experience with CNC fabrication machinery using Delem and Cybelec systems
* Proficiency in working with CNC machine tools, especially those with Fanuc and Siemens controllers
* A basic understanding of Chinese (a great plus!)
We’re seeing rapid growth in the sales of our Fibre Lasers, which are used for cutting plate, tube, and welding. If you have experience with lasers, you’ll have a distinct advantage in joining our dynamic team!
