Production Planner Requirements
Must have experience in production planning and working with data management systems with sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related forecasting and planning software, Power BI, etc.
A solid understanding of Supply Chain and planning theory.
Experience in inventory control, with an aptitude for stock management and systems.
Excellent data analysis and IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel with proficiency in building reports. Good communication skills, using Microsoft Outlook, Teams and SharePoint, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the hierarchy.
Demonstrable ability to learn quickly.
Strong attention to detail.
Production Planner Responsibilities
Produce the weekly Production Plan, using demand planning software, Infor System21 ERP and Microsoft Excel, considering stock, forecast, RoPs, and ADI, including customer orders and pipelines.
Amend live plan as required, reporting on shortfalls and critical item status to the wider business.
Check completed work order confirmations, ensuring all raw material and packaging quantities booked match the filling record quantity.
Correct if necessary, adjusting stock as required, utilising systems to analyse and investigate, conducting RCA on any errors, together with documentation and suggested CI.
Help with coordination and implementation of annual and perpetual inventory counts, ensuring timely and accurate results, monitoring system inventory against actual.
Weekly checks and reconciliation of tank chemical stocks, and regular inventory counts and audits. Create new items within MRP, including packaging specification, batch filling records and item setup as part of the Management of Change process.
Includes setting up and amending profiles within the warehouse management system IWMS and ensuring item planning and manufacturing data and parameters are correct through regular housekeeping.
Software Implementation Learn new software and assist in implementation, producing work instructions, process flows and teaching aids.
Assist in developing Demand Planning as a tool for the further realisation of the S&OP process, including capacity planning and forward production plan visibility.
Assist Demand Planning Manager with reports and other tasks as required.
