Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (ULTH) as a Consultant in Accident and Emergency Department at Pilgrim Hospital Boston. There is no better time to join our Trust as we have now been awarded Teaching Hospital Status. We are currently recruiting for substantive consultant post in Pilgrim Hospital Boston in our Emergency Medicine at United Lincolnshire Hospitals. We are looking for consultants to provide the highest quality of care to each individual patient who attends the department. The appointee will be required to work in a 1:15 on call rota with a 1:5 weekend frequency. The job plan will be aligned to a 85% DCC and 15% SPA split. Please note the job description has not been Royal College approved. AAC panel interviews are being held on the 7th April 2025. Main duties of the job The Appointee will be expected, in conjunction with his / her colleagues, to provide a comprehensive clinical, supervisory, educational and training support to the Emergency Department. This is a substantive full time Consultant post in our Emergency Medicine department for the United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (ULTH). The purpose of this post is to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to each individual patient who attends the department. The on call supplement is currently category A and is classed as high frequency with an on call availability supplement of 8% currently payable. If the person appointed elects to undertake a part time contract, he / she will be required to devote substantially the whole of his / her professional time to the duties of the post and to give them priority at all times.
