Primary Objective
1. To direct and manage a team of vehicle operations colleagues.
2. To be responsible for all company vehicles associated with MJ Quinn, ensuring that whether new, damaged or returned they are handled according upon delivery from operatives, suppliers or any other relevant third party.
3. To be responsible for the upkeep of all vehicle related records and paperwork produced.
4. To be informed on all vehicle movements, returns and repairs whilst assisting with the checking in and out of vehicles.
5. To monitor, manage and close vehicle defects reported.
6. To be fundamental in acting on MJQ’s working culture, its reputation and values.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Vehicle Deployment & Movement to ensure an effective and efficient process is upheld.
2. Systems and data accuracy.
3. Liaise with suppliers and carry out vehicle orders where required.
4. Ensure all vehicles are appropriately prepared including, but not limited to, sign-written, racked, fuelled and kitted, and assigned on CRM to the relevant department, job number and individual.
5. Assist in the communication with all relevant departments regarding the status of all their vehicles and their location.
6. Ensure that 100% of vehicles parked in MJ Quinn Depot are fully accounted for and correctly allocated on the system.
7. Ensure 100% compliance in signing in and out of Randle’s Depot, no matter how short the duration.
8. Ensure the end-to-end process is followed by making sure the relevant systems are updated to reflect this.
9. Assess returned vehicles for physical damage and liaise with MJQ’s nominated supplier for repair costs (outside of BVRLA standards).
10. Carry out cleaning and general upkeep of vehicles as and when required this includes but is not limited to the emptying and loading of tooling/equipment/machinery on vehicles.
11. Assist with the management of a maintenance schedule to ensure that the optimum number of vehicles are working at all times to meet the operational needs.
12. Assist other Logistics departments if and when required.
13. Predominantly depot based and the scope of responsibilities will mean that they will be required to work outdoors regularly overseeing spot-checks and undertaking audits within the areas where vehicles operate; appropriate hi-visibility clothing should be worn at all times in the proximity of vehicles.
Skills/Qualifications
1. Proficient in IT skills, Word, Excel, Outlook.
2. Confident communicator, face to face and dealing with telephone queries.
3. A solid team player.
4. Have a flexible approach to work and have the ability to be pro-active.
