Salary : £58,693 to £71,634 Excellent company benefits Location : Home Based with regular Nationwide Travel We are on the lookout for a driven and results-oriented Strategic Partnerships Manager (SPM) to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in originating, developing, and delivering new strategic energy partnerships. Working with the New Cities Partnerships Lead, you will be responsible for building and nurturing long-term relationships with senior city leaders and stakeholders, local government bodies, urban planners, and other key stakeholders to support the development and implementation of long-term, city wide energy partnerships. This role is at the core of E.ON's growth strategy and is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to build strong relationships, strategic partnerships, and play a key role in the success of growing our partnerships with new cities. Responsibilities include Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential cities and regions across the UK, utilising market research, industry knowledge, and prospecting techniques. Business Development: Develop and implement comprehensive engagement plans to target key cities. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal authorities, urban planners, and relevant local stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and sustainability goals. Collaboration & Partnership Building: Facilitate partnerships between public and private sector organisations, ensuring alignment of objectives and driving collaborative efforts to deliver low-carbon solutions. Contract Negotiation: Support contract negotiations with cities and partners where required, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached. Project Management: Create and maintain action logs for development opportunities, taking responsibility for driving progress and liaising with PMO and wider business for support where necessary Policy Advocacy & Support: Work alongside local authorities to understand local plans and influence policy development, providing expertise on low-carbon solutions, and supporting cities in integrating climate action into their urban development strategies. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate reports on engagement activities, pipeline progress, and development updates. Develop Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of E.ON’s strategy, capabilities, technology and city-wide proposition offer. Contribute to Growth: Actively participate in developing and implementing strategies to expand our partnerships with cities. What we need from you Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Knowledge of urban sustainability challenges, climate change policies, and low-carbon technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to navigate complex political and regulatory environments and influence decision-making at the local government level. A passion for sustainability and understanding of the social and economic drivers behind the adoption of low-carbon solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
