Overview
We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals in need. If you have a passion for helping others and making a positive impact on people's lives, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
1. Provide support and assistance with daily living activities
2. Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
3. Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting if required
4. Engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being
5. Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour
6. Assist with household tasks and meal preparation
Qualifications
1. Experience in home care, support work, assisted living, and learning difficulties is advantageous
2. Ability to drive is essential to take service users out in the community
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care
4. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is beneficial
Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months experience in Home and/or Residential care.
As well as the normal compliance requirements as a carer, you must have proof of:
* National Insurance Number
* Right to Work in UK
* Proof of address
* Be willing to undergo a DBS check (enhanced)
* Proof of relevant training undertaken
* 2 references (last employer and character)
You must be willing to undertake any training required and show commitment to your role as a carer and advocate for vulnerable individuals. Working in homecare requires individuals to be of good character that will respect the environment they are working in and consider a whole family's needs and wishes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.50 per hour
