As our new Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Tax Director and Tax Manager with all UK Corporation tax, VAT and other tax affairs of the Cabot group. The Senior Tax Analyst will also have involvement with tax reporting for European entities of the Cabot group. To excel in this role, you’ll need to be ACA or CTA qualified with the Big 4 or recent tax experience. Competitive starting salary plus an annual discretionary bonus A hybrid working business model, offering employees the ability to blend between office and home working for better work life balance 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and the opportunity to take an additional 5 days unpaid holiday each year Discounts and cash back on hundreds of high-street shops Healthcare cashback plan, travel insurance and life assurance Two paid volunteering day each year Key responsibilities include: Preparation of US GAAP tax reporting to US parent company on a monthly and annual basis for UK and European entities Preparation of statutory account tax notes for UK subsidiary entities under IFRS and interactions with external auditors Preparation of annual UK corporation tax returns and Quarterly Instalment Payment calculations Review of quarterly UK VAT returns Completion of annual Controlled Foreign Company, Diverted Profits Tax and Hybrids reviews Preparation of Corporate Interest Restriction filings Preparation of Senior Accounting Office filings Preparation of Employment Related Securities filings Preparation of withholding tax related forms (e.g. CT61, W8BENs, DTTP forms) Preparation of transfer pricing documentation Liaison with HMRC on corporation tax, VAT and some limited employment tax issues Assistance with tax projects (e.g. tax technology projects, Pillar 2 process implementation, structures simplification) as required Exposure to European tax return filings We are looking for someone with: Experience preparing IFRS and US GAAP tax provisioning calculations Experience preparing UK corporation tax returns Experience preparing UK VAT returns, including familiarity with businesses operating a partial exemption method Experience communicating in person and by writing with HMRC Up to date knowledge of major UK and cross border legislative change, particularly in relation to relevant BEPS developments Awareness of non-UK tax regimes, including US, Ireland, Spain, France, Luxembourg and Portugal is beneficial but not essential Experience with Onesource Corporate Tax, Onesource Tax Provisioning and Workday is beneficial but not essential Financial Services background is beneficial but not essential What happens next?
