Job Title: Payroll and Benefits Specialist Location: Central Northampton Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 (Dependent on Experience) Type: Permanent Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our clients growing team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll processing and benefits administration for a diverse employee base. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on exciting payroll projects and benefit initiatives, including system integration's, payroll acquisitions, pension re-enrolments, and more. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Processing : Manage the monthly payroll process for approximately 600 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all statutory and company requirements. Benefits Administration : Administer employee benefits programs (Pension, Private Medical, Cycle to Work, etc.), liaising with benefit providers and handling data updates for new joiners and leavers. Payroll Adjustments : Process manual payroll adjustments, including overtime, bonuses, statutory payments, and pension contributions. Payroll Projects : Lead key projects such as benefits platform transitions, gender pay gap reporting, and pension scheme management. Reporting & Auditing : Provide payroll data and insights to senior management, ensuring accurate reporting for internal audits and compliance. Query Resolution : Address payroll and benefits queries from employees, management, and third-party providers, ensuring timely and effective resolution. What We're Looking For: Technical Skills : Proficient in payroll and HR systems (e.g., ADP, Workday) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS). Benefits Knowledge : Experience in managing employee benefits programs, pension reporting, and system integrations is advantageous Attention to Detail : Strong accuracy and attention to detail, with a proven ability to handle sensitive data in compliance with GDPR.
