Job Title: CNC Machinist Team Leader Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear Salary: £42,132 What you'll be doing: Supervising a team of skilled machinists working across multiple shift patterns Carrying out line management responsibilities such as absence management, coaching, and development Taking responsibility for the activities that the skilled workers will be undertaking, such as machine knock/ bump/ crash and finding the root cause Responsible for the safety of the employees working within Setter function within the manufacturing area. Supporting the development and implementation of continuous improvement activities utilising lean tools and techniques to drive delivery performance Showing a proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, with excellent attention to detail Your skills and experiences: Essential: Time served Engineering apprenticeship Previous success in implementing and sustaining continuous improvement activities Extensive experience in CNC machining An ability to lead a team ensuring deliverables ae achieved to the required quality, cost, and delivery Desirable: A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to work, with excellent attention to detail Strong communicator at all levels, with the ability to articulate technical safety and process information to stakeholders Safety conscious attitude with knowledge and skill to fully integrate safety into the working environment Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
