We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our wonderful community team to contribute to the provision of high-quality holistic care for patients at home. We have full and part time positions available with hours to suit. Who are we? Our wide range of free services are tailored with the patient in mind, focusing on their wellbeing, supporting them to live pain-free and manage the symptoms of their diagnosis, so they can live well until the end of their days. What skills do I need? Your main responsibilities will be to assist with patients personal care, helping to move, position and mobilise patients and observing their general condition in line with the care plan, reporting any changes as required. You will assist with patients nutritional needs and update the patient record system. To read more about our wonderful Community Team please visit our website. What skills do I need for this role? To be considered for this Healthcare Assistant post you will need to have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification and previous experience in a health care setting. You should also be aware of the physical and emotional needs of patients suffering from a life-limiting illness and those of their relatives and carers and be kind and caring in your approach. Good teamwork and the ability to work a full range of shifts between the hours of 08.00- 21.30 (including some weekends) on a rota basis. You will need to hold a UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle with Class 1 business insurance, mileage expenses will be paid. Why work for Garden House Hospice Care?
