The Head of Project Delivery will play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation of projects that deliver the Welsh Dee Trust strategy and overall objective. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple, high-impact projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities and Duties Oversee the delivery of all Welsh Dee Trust projects to ensure they are following charity objectives and procedures. To manage daily the budgets, risk register and marketing for each of the trust’s projects and any staff and consultants employed. Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks to ensure smooth delivery. To seek out and obtain funding for the WDT in line with programme priorities Ensure that the trust delivers its delivery programme targets per its current strategy. Promote and implement innovative tools, technologies, and practices to enhance project delivery. You will communicate and engage with Natural Resources Wales, Environment Agency, Water companies, Local Authorities, Welsh Government, DEFRA, Landowners and other stakeholders to promote Welsh Dee Trust and its projects Knowledge and Experience: Essential: Experience working with farmers and landowners to design and implement conservation projects. Excellent communicator and personable with regular experience in public speaking. Technical knowledge of river ecosystems, their threats and solutions. Experience with project management including procuring contractors, budget and risk management and negotiation. Desirable: Welsh Speaking Knowledge of both Welsh and English agri-environment schemes. Experience in grant writing and submission. Knowledge of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations
