Product Quality Lead (Homebased with extensive travel to all NWE sites)
About the role
The successful candidate will achieve and maintain EI/JIG 1530 compliance across the network, providing and maintaining procedures to ensure product quality is maintained.
Technical reference point for Project evaluation, investigating product quality issues for the UK&I Operations activities. Working with the independent companies technical laboratory provider and interfacing with customers quality representatives
Key Responsibility
• Prepare audit reports against EI/JIG 1530 with clearly defined action plans to gain compliance.
• Technical SME on Product Quality to drive change to ensure that compliance to product specifications including EI/JIG 1530 is met and maintained.
• Work with O&M teams establishing the gaps in procedures and/or amending existing procedures
• Provide a training plan for continued compliance with technical, legislative updates.
• Review test certificates for Aviation product ingressed/stored
• Product Quality technical lead in investigating product quality related issues.
• Work to standard, procedures and work instructions for Safety Critical Tasks in order to meet COMAH requirements.
• Ensure all tasks carried out conform to company policies, procedures and systems.
About You
The successful candidate will have a science based education to A level standard or equivalent and a Qualification in Aviation fuel quality with extensive experience in fuel quality (specifically aviation) including analytical assessment and operational requirements with experience of developing staff training in relation to Fuel Quality. The successful candidate will also be self-motivated have the ability to manage conflicting deadlines and engage with remote teams. A degree in a relevant field i.e. Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, supervisory experience, and experience of delivering training are also desirable.
