We seek an experienced and knowledgeable Quality professional to join our team as a Product Assurance Manager within the Force Protection Sector. Job Title: Product Assurance Manager Salary: circa £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience) Location : Stevenage (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role) Dynamic (hybrid) working : typically, 2-3 days per week on-site, due to workload classification Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team The opportunity: As a Product Assurance Manager, you will lead a team of dynamic Quality Engineers and independently represent and promote Quality Assurance within a multi-national Project. Supporting the Project in all phases of the product lifecycle, you will play a pivotal role with the aim of ensuring the core Quality Assurance activities are met. You will operate within an established team and within a strong Quality Network to be the Voice of the Customer within the Project, lead acceptance activities, preventing and minimising non-conformance, assuring reliable products and continually growing the satisfaction of our customers. The role will allow the successful applicant to work across all Functions and with teams and individuals at all levels of the business. The diverse nature of the role will mean that you will operate, network and develop the role across multiple sites domestically and internationally. There will also be the challenge to play a key role in transfer of technology and transfer of technology opportunities. As a Product Assurance Manager, you will define both the Product Assurance and Company Business procedures to be deployed within the project and ensure they are tailored accordingly to meet the project’s needs. You will be expected to find pragmatic solutions for customers, whilst maintaining robust quality integrity. The role will require you to consolidate and mitigate functional and project risks and issues and provide feedback to internal Customers and being actively involved in ISO9000 and AS9100 assessments and in internal quality audit activities. What we're looking for from you: You are an experienced Quality Assurance / Engineering professional with a good understanding of overall systems and Development and Production practices A high degree of self-motivation, autonomy and skills to work proactively, with excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills The ability to influence change, a respectful team player and comfortable working in a matrix organisation You have experience of handling a skilled and coordinated team Candidates do not need to have a Defence background.
