A specialist noise and vibration engineering consultancy providing acoustic consultancy on a wide range of acoustic design and noise control issues to clients and industries throughout the UK has a requirement for an Acoustic Consultant with a strong background in building acoustics and mechanical services to further develop their acoustic consultancy in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified acoustic consultant/engineer to progress their career within the sector. The organization requires candidates who are self-motivated and driven to expand the consultancy business with the end goal of directorship.
Qualifications:
1. Preferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration
Experience:
1. Consultancy experience in the field of Environmental/Building Acoustics
2. Experience of consultancy in relation to building services, noise control, vibration isolation
3. Technically competent and IT proficient
4. Highly motivated
5. Commercially aware and team player
6. Good communication and client liaison skills
7. Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package
8. Familiarity in using noise monitoring equipment
9. The ability to produce technically accurate reports
10. Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations
11. Full driving license

4. CRTN/CRN Assessments
5. CadnaA - Environmental Noise Prediction
6. Internal noise commissioning
7. External noise commissioning
8. Commercial façade noise assessments
9. Construction site noise monitoring
10. Noise at Work Assessments
11. BB93 School design
12. Manage the development of a new acoustic consultancy as part of an existing company
13. Project management for acoustic product design, installation and on-site supervision of contractors
14. Advice on legislation
15. Full project management through to completion
16. Writing high-quality reports
17. Aid the sales and engineering of the business and material supply solutions
18. Support, manage and design hardware solutions including areas of contracting and account management
