Learning Support Assistant
Location: Long Eaton, Nottingham
Hours: Monday to Friday, term time only
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for an excellent Nottingham school to start immediately. The role involves one-on-one support for a student with Spina Bifida and Autism, running Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4pm, during term time only, and will continue until the end of the academic year.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver learning support through small group sessions or one-on-one attention.
- Develop or adapt educational resources as recommended.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment across the school.
- Assist students during both independent and collaborative activities.
- Use specialized training and experience to offer appropriate, individualized support.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- GCSEs in English and Math (Grade C or above) and NVQ Level 2, or equivalent qualifications, skills, or experience.
- Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role.
- Background in working with children who have special educational needs (SEN).
- Familiarity with the SEN Code of Practice.
- A commitment to high standards, integrity, and professionalism, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
