Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is continuing to develop and refine an innovative, integrated model of children's community services and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to operationally lead our Speech and Language and Communication pathway with a focus on early intervention and support.
This role is 22.5 hrs a week (0.6WTE) across Devon and Torbay (excluding Plymouth) with bases available in Exeter, North & South Devon and Torbay. You will want to be on site with your team for some of the time; however, we can support some remote working as part of your job plan.
Working alongside the clinical and medical leads for the service, you will be supported to bring your operational skills, experience and enthusiasm to this role. You will supervise and manage others, ensuring the service responds in a timely way to meet the needs of children, young people, and families. As Operations Lead for this pathway, you will work closely with colleagues in CFHD but also colleagues from the acute trusts across Devon and Torbay who medically support the children seen within the pathway.
We are looking for an individual who enjoys operational management, who likes to collaborate and work with others, who has skills in leadership, and can remain calm and compassionate under pressure. A keen eye for data and a focus on performance is on the wish list along with the ability to bring innovation to the table. We value people who can work well as part of a team but also have the confidence and ability to be autonomous and pace-setting when needed.
This is an exciting time as we are a service going through a process of development and growth, so you need to have experience in leading services through change and keeping our children and young people at the centre of what you do.
Why Work With Us
We are developing an innovative, integrated model of children's community services and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dedicated locality and county-wide professional teams.
As a large community service, you will be joining a strong, enthusiastic and supportive group of professionals. This provides a real sense of professional collaboration at work that will be an asset to your daily work, your career development, and your support network.
