The Parking Services Team are looking to recruit two Asset Maintenance/Civil Enforcement Officers who will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment, machines, signage, general cleaning and some light grounds work.
About the Role & Duties
Within the role there will be a requirement to make Safety and legal checks in car parks and also be expected to be able to do limited patrols of Council car parks and on street areas covered by parking enforcement. You will be involved with car park marshalling, assisting at events and enforcement of parking restrictions and Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) offences across the whole of North Somerset district. Working days will be Wednesday to Sunday.
The role also covers placing temporary restrictions in car parks and the highway as required along with ensuring bus lane infrastructure is in place and using video recording equipment.
You will operate as an individual and with other team members and act as a Council ambassador while being consistent and fair, offering help and guidance to the public over a range of topics. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills and be professional at all times particularly when dealing with potential confrontational situations. Full uniform and training provided. You will report directly to the Lead Moving Traffic Enforcement Officer.
It is an essential requirement of the role to have a valid driving licence as you will need to transport signage and tools.
