This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst remaining two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.
Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.
Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements. A discussion will be held with the successful candidate to confirm the details of location, salary, allowances and hours.

The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
The Role & Key Responsibilities
We are looking to recruit a Procurement Officer to join our dynamic and exciting team. The Joint Procurement Service provides strategic and technical procurement advice, as well as ensuring best value, whilst maintaining our organisations' high standards. We ensure the delivery of multiple procurement projects on behalf of the Police and Crime Commissioners for Surrey and Sussex, Surrey Police and Sussex Police.
This involves procuring a vast range of goods, works and services from office supplies, software applications to grounds maintenance, uniform, drones and tasers. Through our procurement activities, we support the operational policing in Surrey and Sussex.
The role will involve:
* Running and managing end to end procurement processes.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and management.
* Operating within Public Contracts Regulations and internal policies.
What you need to succeed:
* Must understand PCR 2015, Procurement Act 2023 and have sound understanding of operating within the regulations.
* Strong experience running procurement processes.
* Ideally has experience of working within the public sector.
* Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards.
