We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our friendly and supportive integrated service. You will be a key member of the community team, delivering Dietetic assessment and interventions to a complex caseload of patients in their own home and in a clinic setting. You will also be responsible for quality improvement initiatives to further develop implementation of MUST and food first initiatives. You will be responsible for training community staff and providing support to the Dietetic Assistants delivering MUST training in care homes.
You will benefit from being part of an integrated inpatient (Ipswich Hospital), outpatient and community service that incorporates a range of clinical specialisms including renal, paediatrics and oncology. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering a quality, evidence-based service, who relishes working in a busy setting and are a strong team player. We are seeking someone with excellent team working skills with both Dietetics colleagues and the wider MDT, as well as an ability to work independently and flexibly.
• To be lead dietitian for MUST and food first initiatives across community of East Suffolk actively promoting effective prescribing practices. This will include designing, updating and implementing community malnutrition guidelines and resources.
• To be a lead dietitian responsible for the delivery of a high quality, evidence-based dietetic care to a complex case load of patients in a variety of care settings, which could include acute and community settings e.g. Wards, outpatient clinics and patients’ homes.
• To manage a caseload of complex home visits
• To supervise junior member of staff including band 4 assistant practitioners.
• To contribute to the dietetic service in the community providing a source of expertise to patients, carers, medical practitioners and allied health professionals and social care professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• To provide specialist input into the planning, development and evaluation ofdieteticservices within your team and for defined projects. This will include looking at clinical outcomes in your area.

The vacancy is for full time working. However, we are open to accommodating different hours and work patterns, so please do get in touch.
The Dietetic service operates from within the Integrated Pathways Division, alongside our therapy colleagues in speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. We therefore have excellent multi-disciplinary links. We also work closely with the Integrated neighbourhood community teams, and have close relationships with our AHP colleagues, under the leadership of our Director of AHPs.
