Requirement: Construction Manager - (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)
Location: South Coast
Package: £70,000 + Company Car allowance + Benefits
Responsibilities:
1. Act as Principal Contractor in accordance with CDM 2015 (Construction Design and Management) regulations including Temporary Works, ensuring that responsibilities are discharged correctly.
2. Support the Project Manager with the development of the programme to ensure all construction activities are planned and managed appropriately.
3. Support the project QHSE to ensure the highest level of health and safety throughout the construction activities.
4. Ensure construction risks are identified and managed to minimize project impact through internal review meetings and client specific safety review meetings.
5. Ensure construction information such as records and drawings are managed in accordance with Quality Management Systems.
6. Lead and manage the construction team and construction sub-contractors to successfully deliver project objectives.
7. Ensure compliance with key safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle with a specific focus on construction stages and activities.
8. Provide expertise and oversight during tender evaluations from the supply chain and oversee the development of construction estimates and manage expenditure within the agreed budget.
9. Provide construction support during commissioning phases as required.
10. Report regularly to the Project Manager and other senior leadership on progress, risks, and any issues arising.
11. Lead all construction specific meetings, workshops and discussions.
Experience:
1. Extensive experience in EPC projects operating under NEC4 forms of contract, with a high focus on civil and construction projects.
2. Demonstrable experience in the delivery of complex construction projects, ideally within the Oil & Gas Industry, under the CDM 2015 Regulations.
Qualifications & Courses:
1. HND/C or Higher in a relevant discipline such as construction and or civils.
2. Proven ability to manage subcontractors and oversee site execution.
3. Strong understanding of Process Safety including extensive experience of Formal Process Safety Assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP and HAZCON.
4. Accredited CSCS certification or equivalent.
5. SMSTS
6. SHEA Gas
7. SCO 91 Certification (Desirable).
8. APMP accreditation (Desirable).
9. Temporary Works Coordinator.
