We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Business Solutions team based in our Kent - Maidstone office. Our Business Solutions team support our smaller to medium sized clients with high quality accounting, bookkeeping, VAT, corporate tax, company secretarial and related services. Main duties likely to include Preparation of statutory financial statements under FRS105 and FRS102 using Iris accounting software. Preparing the related corporation tax computations using Iris. Preparation of periodical management accounts for clients using Xero, Sage or other software and related reporting. Carrying out or assisting with bookkeeping and VAT Returns for clients using Xero, Sage or other software. Planning and taking responsibility for your work and multi-tasking in an organised manner around client needs/deadlines. Developing a good rapport with clients and listening to, and understanding, their needs. Corresponding and communicating professionally and clearly with clients. Offering clients a value-added service, tailored to their needs and recognising what information they are looking for from their reports and accounts. Being aware of what services Crowe can offer to enable identification of areas where a client could benefit from other services. Helping others within the department and acting as a team player. Qualifications and experience required No set qualifications required but expectations will be AAT qualified or part qualified ACA, ACCA or AAT. Working in a practice environment preparing statutory financial statements. Experience of using Iris accounting software would be beneficial. Good knowledge of Excel and Word. Diligent and attention to detail. Able to work on own initiative, but also be a team player. Able to focus and concentrate in a busy working environment. Desirable Experience of preparation of management accounts and VAT returns. Bookkeeping using Xero and/or Sage. Living within easy commuting distance to Maidstone. Why choose Crowe?
