About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Quality Assurance Coordinator to join a fast-growing and dynamic food import and distribution company. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about food safety, quality assurance and compliance looking to make a real impact within a growing organisation.
You'll be responsible for implementing, managing and developing the company's food safety and quality assurance systems, working across multiple product categories and supplier networks.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and documentation in line with UK regulations
* Stay up-to-date on food industry standards, legislation and best practices
* Maintain supplier databases, product specifications, technical documentation and traceability systems
* Ensure packaging and labelling compliance for all imported and distributed products
* Handle quality-related customer complaints, working with suppliers and internal teams for resolution
* Support and potentially lead the implementation of BRCGS Agent & Broker certification
* Liaise regularly with suppliers, internal teams, and customers regarding quality standards
* Assist with procurement and supply chain quality improvements as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Degree in Food Science or a related field
* Minimum 2 years of experience in food quality assurance within the UK food industry
* Strong working knowledge of BRCGS/IFS Standards, HACCP, UK/EU food regulations
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Confident communicator with a positive, hands-on attitude
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
