An exciting opportunity for a Contract Support Officer has arisen within the Office of the West Midlands (OWM) Primary Care Commissioning Team. The OWM has been established to support the 6 Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) across the West Midlands to support the ICBs to deliver delegated responsibilities, including those for General Medical, Pharmacy, Optometry and Dental services.
The Office for the West Midlands (OWM), is hosted by Birmingham and Solihull ICB, as the employing body, but the team supports the following ICBs:
Black Country
Birmingham and Solihull
Coventry and Warwickshire
Herefordshire and Worcestershire
Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin
Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent
Utilising 'Neighbourhood, Place and System' the post holder will champion collaborative commissioning, focus upon developing and commissioning integrated services, that support patients to manage their own care, prevent ill-health and access services in the most appropriate setting.

Main duties of the job
Provide administration support and advice to the wider team to support a number of workstreams.
Provide support to the wider team in arranging meetings and taking minutes and actions in a timely and efficient manner.
Support the team with the maintenance of contact lists, and generic email inboxes including gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary.
Provide business support functions to the teams responsible for the management of a portfolio of contracts or transformation programmes, and associated staff.
Provide support to the wider team in respect of projects.
Maintaining and processing payment systems (e.g. Oracle) and other contract management software, for example, without limitation Non-Contracted Activity (NCA) invoices.
Maintain effective working relationships within the wider team. work in a fast-changing environment with the ability to prioritise tasks as and when required to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales.

Job responsibilities
Educated to NVQ 4 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
Used to working in a fast paced environment, managing competing priorities and working to tight deadlines, be proactive and have excellent administrative, secretarial and organisational skills, pay strong attention to detail and be able to provide high level administrative support.
Co-ordinating and facilitating meetings, either face to face or via conferencing facilities, prepare and distributing meeting papers and agendas, minute taking skills, taking appropriate follow-up actions as required.

Knowledge and Experience
* Knowledge of either NHS General Medical Services or Primary Care Pharmacy, Optometry, Primary Care Dental & Secondary Care Dental. Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems. Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information. Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
