We’re currently recruiting a Operations Manager to lead our operations in Gotham - south of Nottingham - for our customer; British Gypsum. You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse, yard and security on site and will be working closely with the customer and General Manager.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £44,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Drive the safety culture and operational quality for the site
2. Effectively lead the site’s warehouse and medium sized transport operation, yard and security operations as well as the associated workforce of a rapidly growing and evolving site
3. Ensure all KPIs and targets are being met or exceeded across the operation
4. Ensure a smooth flow of goods so that customer products are unloaded or loaded to the expected standard accurately whilst maintaining accurate inventory
5. Continuously monitor process, proactively acting to maintain and improve standards to a recognised industry standard
What you need to succeed at XPO:
6. Previous experience of leading a warehouse with a strong focus on safety at its heart
7. National CPC Essential
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build a strong team and productive customer relationships
9. Strong administration, organisation and IT skills
10. Ideally you’ll have a H&S qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH) and experience of 5S, Six Sigma or Lean processes would be advantageous
