Sheffield United are looking for a passionate and driven sales professional to join our commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across both B2B and B2C markets. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver innovative commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance the overall fan experience.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a strong understanding of local/regional business to business (B2B) and business to customer (B2C) markets for all aspects of revenue generation from matchday and non-matchday opportunities.
2. Answering of telephone and inbound commercial inquiries, converting into sales.
3. Prospect clients for new and future business leads.
4. Arrange meetings both on-site and off-site with potential customers to prospect for new business.
5. Produce and deliver appropriate sales presentations.
6. Ensure CRM is permanently updated with all communication, sales leads, and prospects.
7. Utilise the matchday operation to identify and maintain both new and existing business.
8. Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales.
9. Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person, via telephone calls, emails, and all other forms of communication.
10. Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
11. Be responsible for hitting sales targets set by line manager.
12. Provide weekly sales reporting to line manager.
13. Work with line manager daily to identify business opportunities for commercial growth.
14. Understand all aspects of the commercial business and become a team player in commercial budget delivery etc.
15. Develop and maintain a close working relationship with other departments to deliver overall club strategy.
16. Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues.
17. Any other Commercial Sales Executive duties as directed by management.
18. Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.

Essential Criteria for the Role:
1. Thorough understanding of sports marketing.
2. Proven track record of sales and marketing experience.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.
4. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Desirable Criteria for the Role:
1. Undergraduate degree in Business or related field.
2. NVQ level 2 in a business-related field.
3. History of working in a sporting or hospitality environment.
4. Completion of regular sales training courses.
5. Experience utilising and populating a database and CRM Management System.
6. Customer Service Qualification.
