About the Senior Lawyer role:
This role will provide high quality and practical legal advice to all service areas including legal, democratic, contract, procurement, and corporate information management services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and ambitious qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive looking for that next step in their career.
The successful Senior Lawyer duties will include, but is not limited to:
* Deputising for the Monitoring Officer and supporting Lawyers in the team
* Advising in areas of procurement, contracts, commercial, public law, information law, policy, governance and project work
* Providing advice on internal policies, procedures and on statutory compliance
* Leading on governance reports and presenting to committees as well as reporting to Board on governance matters
