We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Project Lead to join our team at Innovate.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to progress their career as a Senior Engineering Project Lead.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams of engineers and manufacturing staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead project delivery through effective project management techniques, adhering to established processes.
2. Set the standard for your team, guiding them to meet targets and mentoring junior staff.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
4. Create detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and manage them within the MS Project Server system.
5. Coordinate Phase Gate Reviews for projects, ensuring they are conducted promptly.
6. Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively resolving them or escalating when necessary.
7. Partner with the Finance Team to establish and monitor budgets, analysing data such as schedule-derived ETCs and risk cost exposure.
8. Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, and Programme Directors to create technical and commercial solutions for client requirements.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Project Lead who can lead engineering projects through all or parts of the lifecycle, particularly with a focus on production.
1. Demonstrated ability to motivate teams to meet critical deadlines and successfully deliver projects.
2. Strong understanding of risk management and its practical application in project oversight.
3. Proficiency with project management tools, particularly MS Project and MS Project Server or equivalent enterprise tools.
4. Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
5. Formal project management certification is desirable.
About the Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
