Role Location: The role is full-time and based in Bristol or London with travel required across the UK for specific project opportunities. There will be the opportunity for some home working.

The Role: To support our continued organic growth, we are seeking to recruit a member of staff at Assistant Consultant/Graduate grade to work as part of our team of around 35 air quality specialists based in the UK. We provide a comprehensive service relating to modelling, monitoring, and assessment of air quality, dust, odour, and climate change impacts. We will provide training on the relevant software and skills needed in air quality consultancy and will provide you with in-house support and relevant experience in developing you professionally.
The successful candidate will be involved in exciting air quality and climate change projects across a range of sectors including transport, energy, industry, and government. You will be involved in delivering stand-alone air quality assessments for new developments, undertaking air quality monitoring, preparing chapters for Environmental Statements including those that form part of Development Consent Order (DCO) applications, and undertaking leading-edge research projects.
Depending on experience and interest, there are opportunities to support our Environmental Policy and Economics Practice. This new part of our business provides high-quality policy advice, strategic insight as well as scientific, policy and economic analysis in a range of environmental policy areas including air quality and climate change.

Skills and Experience:
* Strong mathematical / quantitative analysis skills
* Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
* Strong technical capability and ability to review and interpret data
* Strong report writing skills
* An understanding of the issues related to air quality including air quality legislation, policy, and guidance
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver work to tight deadlines
* High level of proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word
* Ability and willingness to undertake site-based monitoring and field work
* A full clean UK driving license, as travel will be required
Qualifications:
* Relevant A-Levels or equivalent
* BSc or higher
