Main duties of the job
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospital Director to lead our dedicated team and oversee the day-to-day operations at Blackheath. The successful candidate will be a proactive and strategic leader with proven experience in specialist inpatient rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injury or other complex neurological conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional standards of clinical and operational excellence, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. What you'll be working:
Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.
What you'll be doing:
* Ensure the care and treatment delivered by the service is high quality, safe and patient centred at all times
* Lead and inspire a valued team, maximising the potential of the individuals within it
* Ensure all the people we support are safeguarded and any concerns are raised via the appropriate process
* Direct line management of the senior management team, ensuring senior management cover arrangements, including out of hours on-call
* Responsible for ensuring that all care standards, regulatory standards, and other quality measurement criteria are met
* Work independently with responsibility for budgetary management, statutory compliance of the property including fire management, infection prevention and control and facilities
* Ensure that robust Local Integrated Governance arrangements are in place, and that Quality & Performance Management is maintained to a high standard
* Build excellent relationships with all colleagues, visitors, carers, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NMC or HCPC registration
* A legal right to work in the UK
Experience
* Passion and dedication to providing person-centred care and ensuring the people we support are treated with dignity and respect at all times
* Previous management experience within an acute or healthcare setting
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulatory landscape, and legislation framework
* Previous experience leading and inspiring a senior team and management of varying disciplines
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise as appropriate
