About the job
The Council has an great opportunity for a RICS surveyor / Valuer to work as part of the Property and Facilities Team.
We are looking for a highly motivated person who wants to provide excellent services to our commercial and community tenants. You will be involved in the management of the Council’s commercial and community property portfolio, providing day to day management with a wide variety of activities including leases, licences, disposals and asset valuations.
Good communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with our customers and solicitors to instruct the property transaction. The Council has a range of properties within the commercial and community portfolios, this gives team members a varied caseload from land access, community centre leases through to commercial industrial and retail units.
Requirements
Experience of working within a property surveying team
Experience of managing budgets and projects.
A degree or equivalent in Property Surveying / Membership of or working towards a suitable professional body e.g. MRICS.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, sufficient to input and retrieve data, e.g. using packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook for email.
