The Clinical Safety Officer will be a registered clinician responsible for overseeing the clinical risk management process for healthcare IT products and services. They will provide leadership, guidance, support, and specialist knowledge in relation to Clinical Safety and current NHS Digital standards (e.g., DCB0129, DCB160). The post holder will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed clinical safety throughout the lifecycle of digital health products.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Risk Management: Oversee clinical risk management processes, develop and maintain Clinical Safety Cases and Hazard Logs, and lead clinical safety assessments.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with product developers, clinicians, and external partners, providing clinical safety expertise and advice.
* Regulatory Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with relevant standards, lead the development and submission of safety-related documentation.
* Education and Training: Deliver training sessions on clinical risk management principles and promote a culture of clinical safety awareness.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor post-market safety data and prepare regular clinical safety reports.
