We are currently recruiting for a client trust who have a number of alternative provisions across the Lincolnshire area who are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team for the new academic year. They have a number of sites across the region and are looking for someone who has a genuine passion to make a difference to young peoples lives and can support and engage support vulnerable young people who often show challenging behaviour to succeed.
The provisions provide learning to young people who are unable to access mainstream education, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Their committed staff collaborate with each student to develop personalised learning plans that nurture emotional growth, enhance academic achievement, and promote overall well-being, emphasizing the development of resilience, self-confidence, and essential skills for lifelong success.
What skills do you need to have?

Minimum Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools or equivalent.
Ability to connect effectively with children and young people who have additional needs; experience working with SEN is beneficial, personal experience is highly valuable, but the most important factor is a good character fit
Ideally have a valid Team Teach certificate - if not, you can do your training through us!
Be resilient, maintain a thick skin, and possess the skills to calmly defuse challenging situations..
Be capable of staying calm in high-pressure situations.
Be self-assured, enthusiastic, and highly driven.
Stay alert to spotting safeguarding concerns and adhere to established protocols.
