Full time: 35 hours per week
Fixed term: for 19 months

What the job involves:
* Delivering testing of HR and Finance processes in our Oracle Fusion based People & Money system to ensure the process are fit for purpose and ready for implementation.
* To deliver this you will analyse requirements, identify tests required and plan, design, script and execute tests.
* You will identify and document defects and communicate these to key stakeholders.
* You will work with key stakeholders to ensure effective user acceptance testing.
Successful candidates will be able to work on and off campus to suit their role, work commitments and personal circumstances. We expect candidates to spend a minimum of 1 day per week in our office in central Edinburgh.
A bit about you:
* Successful candidates will have experience of software testing and be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Communication skills are critical for this role – colleagues should be able to communicate with a range of stakeholders: both inside the University and in external organisations; with technical colleagues and colleagues in business teams; and with colleagues at all levels of the University.
* Experience with Oracle Fusion or with other ERP systems is highly desirable as is experience of test and defect management tools including TestRail and JIRA.
