An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join our Patient Safety Team, to provide comprehensive, professional and effective administrative support.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Patient Safety Team's aims and objectives during an exciting time of change, as patient safety is a key focus for our Trust.
The role offers variety from general administration duties, facilitator support and co-ordination of a variety of events. In addition there will be a number of learning opportunities available to them.
The Patient Safety Administration Assistant provides an essential, high quality administration support function in relation to all patient safety work.
The role will require regular contact with staff from departments within the Trust across both York and Scarborough sites, and external clients with both routine and complex information, some of which may be confidential
Main duties:
• Communicates with a range of contacts, for example, staff from other departments and external clients, concerning both routine and complex information, some of which maybe be confidential.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in planning workload and the ability to use their own initiative when supporting training days, hiring venues, planning diaries.
• Be required to prioritise own work and make judgements in relation to, for example, resolving conflicting diary appointments and/or meeting arrangements.
• Administration of key meetings
• To be responsible for the administrative preparation of agenda and papers for Trust patient safety committees and meetings, taking minutes and action notes as required. Dealing with actions arising from meetings and liaising with appropriate staff as necessary.
