Senior Microfluidics Engineer Onsite Cambridgeshire Salary: up to £57k depending on experience Key Skills: Broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials for microfluidic devices. Experience of taking a laboratory prototype microfluidic device to volume manufacture. Experience of the product development lifecycle from initial feasibility to established production. The Role: Specify and develop microfluidic devices for droplet-based workflows. Convert microfluidic prototype designs to manufacturing specifications including detail design drawings, materials specifications and test procedures Work with third-party manufacturers to establish cost-effective manufacturing approaches for microfluidic devices. Manage efficient transfer to manufacture of new devices with third parties. Test prototype devices by designing and assembling test jigs and by operating laboratory rigs. Assist in developing fluidic, optical, electric and mechanical interfaces between microfluidic devices and instruments. Generate concise, professional documents and reports. Qualifications and Experience: Broad knowledge of materials for microfluidic devices. Experience of the product development lifecycle from initial feasibility to established production.
